Venus of Willendorf Hand Painted 3D Print Paleolithic Replica

from £6.00
Known as the Venus of Willendorf, this sculpture is one of the most famous artifacts of the palaeolithic. Dating to as early as 30,000 BCE archaeologists believe this and similar Venus' were used as fertility talismans. Certainly in the minds of modern pagans these sculptures are powerful religious items. The original was carved in limestone with red ochre tinting and found in early 20th century Austria.

This 3D printed replica is based on a copyright-free scan of the original. Made for PLA and printed to a precision of 0.1mm the model stands at 11.1cm - in keeping with the original. It first sprayed in primer and then hand-painted by eye with several layers of acrylic paint and textured PVA to give a stone like quality.

A rare chance to own a unique and quality model designed by ancient-man and reproduced using modern 3D printing.
