Admire the stunning landscape of the highlands and islands from the comfort of your own home with this detailed map of Scotland and Northern England, stretching from Whitby and Keswick in the south to Cap Wrath and St Marys in the North. This is one of our larger maps measuring 45 cm square, framed in wood with a modern satin black finish. The scale sees around 1 cm covering six and a half miles, the map covering the whole of mainland Scotland and the Inner and Outer Hebrides.

The Z-axis has been scaled up by around 12 times to highlight the geographical details in all their glory. Many of the larger lochs and estuaries have been hand-painted, attention paid to the shape and form of the many isles found on the west coast. This is a brilliant map for anyone who loves Scotland, whether through journeying along route 500, climbing the Munros, island hopping across the Minch or calling a part of this wild landscape home; this map displays the wild Scottish topography in a unique way.

All our maps are hand made by an artist - the frames are hand-cut by us from recycled wood. We use images from satellite maps to guide us as we paint each hill, mountain, and vale by hand. Actual geographical data provided by various space missions - (particularly Japan's ALOS mission) - as well as sonar, radar, and LiDAR submissions, help form a complete map of Earth's surface, from which we source and translate the data for our 3D map models. This particular map took around 80 hours to print and we think it was well worth the wait!
