Anatomical Squirrel Skull Replica 3D Printed

We're all familiar with squirrels, they are the ones who have true ownership of parks up and down the land. This skull replica belongs to Sciurus carolinensis better known as the Gray Squirrel. Slightly bigger and a lot bolder than their Red counterparts. Native to North America Gray Squirrels were introduced to the UK in the second half of the 19th century and quickly spread replacing populations of Reds.

This to-scale, anatomically accurate replica of a Gray Squirrel skull cranium is fantastically detailed and painted in a naturalistic style. Whether you have an interest in skulls, animal biology, or perhaps someone special is a wildlife nut this is the item for you.

Our squirrel skull includes the cranium and showcases the rodent's large front teeth. The item is printed, finished, sprayed in an acrylic primer, painted, and carefully packaged. Being 3D printed in PLA plastic the replica is relatively environmentally friendly and cruelty-free - perfect for naturalists who are concerned about the impact or sourcing of skulls for their collections.

This is a one-of-a-kind 3D printed skull made with love in our little Chapel. The careful painting and hand-finishing process we undertake retains detail and gives a beautiful end product - the printing time of the cranium is around 4 hours.
