Anatomical Hare Skull Replica 3D Printed

from £15.00
There are few UK species surrounded by as much folklore and mystery as the Hare. The European or Brown Hare, also known as Lepus europaeus, is found throughout the UK. Preferring open fields and appearing as large skinny rabbits these pagan-looking creatures are known for their speed and agility. Indeed some say their ability at taking such a quick flight and blending in with the grassland meant folk believed they could disappear leading them to be associated with witchcraft.

Hare populations are in fact in decline across much of Europe this not helped by habitat loss or hare coursing. Comparing the Rabbit and Hare skulls; one is struck by the contrast in size, but also differences in muscle attachments and heavier features.
