Whether or not you know the Isle of Man for is strong cultural identify or as the home of the TT motorcycle race, it’s impossible not to appreciate the magnificent landscape of this stunning Island. The map includes everything from the hills and mountains in the south to the flat lands and sand dunes northward of Ramsey. This is one of our medium maps measuring 27 cm by 35 cm (not including the wooden frame). The scale sees around 1 cm covering 1.5 miles.

The Z-axis has been scaled up by around 8 times to highlight the geographical details in all their glory. The bathymetry layers around the island have coloured according to depth and the land hand painted using satellite imagery. Everyone from hill walkers to bikers alike will appreciate this reminder of a impressive and wild part of the British Isles.

All of our maps are hand made by an artist - the frames are hand-cut in house from recycled wood. We use images from satellite maps to guide us as we paint each hill and vale by hand. Actual geographical data provided by various space missions - (particularly Japan's ALOS mission) - as well as sonar, radar, and LiDAR submissions, help form a complete map of Earth's surface, from which we source and translate the data for our 3D map models. This particular map took more than 40 hours to print, and we think it was well worth the wait!

Delivery is arranged via DPD next day collection from our door to yours.
